Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Hereafter Ghana Donor Management System and its landing page (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. About Hereafter Ghana

Hereafter Ghana (My Hereafter Project – MHP) is a registered Ghanaian charitable organization dedicated to supporting health, education, sustainable livelihoods, and community services for vulnerable populations across Ghana.

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Platform to:

  • Learn about our work and giving options
  • Join our donor community
  • Make financial donations (anonymous or non-anonymous)
  • Set up and manage recurring (auto) donations
  • Receive donation confirmations, reminders, and donor-related updates based on your preferences

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s operation
  • Upload or transmit malicious code (viruses, malware, etc.)
  • Harvest or misuse other users’ data
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages through the Platform
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Copy, scrape, or exploit Platform content without permission

4. Accounts, Donor Profiles, and Accuracy of Information

You may be able to create a donor profile or provide donor details when donating or setting up recurring donations. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, especially your selected communication method (SMS and/or email), so we can send reminders, confirmations, and relevant donor updates. If you choose to donate anonymously, you may do so without providing identifying information, subject to what is required to process the payment.

5. Donations and Payments

5.1 Financial Donations

  • Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law
  • You may donate anonymously or provide your name and contact details for receipts, reminders, and updates
  • Donations support our programs and may also cover administrative and operational costs

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of those providers is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for payment provider systems, outages, or processing delays.

5.3 Recurring (Auto) Donations / Subscriptions

If you set up recurring donations, you authorize us (and our payment providers, where applicable) to charge the donation amount according to the schedule you select. You acknowledge that:

  • Your recurring donation will run for the duration or frequency you choose, unless cancelled or updated
  • We may send reminders by SMS and/or email based on your selected preference
  • Charges may fail due to insufficient funds, provider issues, or incorrect payment details
  • You are responsible for keeping your contact and relevant payment details current with the payment provider (where applicable)

6. Communications and Opt-Out

By providing your email and/or phone number and selecting a communication preference, you consent to receive donor-related communications, which may include:

  • Donation confirmations and receipts (if requested)
  • Recurring donation reminders
  • Important platform or donor updates
  • Impact updates and donor announcements (where applicable)

You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by following opt-out instructions where available or by contacting us at info@hereafterghana.org. Some essential messages (such as donation confirmations or critical security notices) may still be sent when necessary.

7. Intellectual Property

All Platform content (text, graphics, logos, images, and software) is owned by Hereafter Ghana (MHP) or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal and non-commercial purposes related to donating and donor engagement.

8. User Content

If you submit content or information through the Platform (such as profile details), you represent that it is accurate and does not violate any laws or third-party rights. You grant us permission to use that information as needed to operate the Platform, process donations, and communicate with you in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any content will be accurate or current at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hereafter Ghana (MHP) shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Damages arising from payment processing issues or third-party service outages
  • Damages related to your use or inability to use the Platform

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may include links to third-party sites or may rely on third-party services (such as payment, SMS, email, hosting, or analytics providers). We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hereafter Ghana (MHP), its directors, officers, staff, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on the Platform with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
